Nuevo Laredo, Mexico- On November 10th, 2009 – OCC Group, LLC celebrated the grand opening of its new corrugated sheet plant in Nuevo Laredo, located in the Mexican state of Tamualipas which strategically borders Texas and the gateway into the United States. The sheet plant's inauguration was attending by approximately 100 Plant associates, 7 customers, the Governor of the state of Tamaulipas, and several other key local and state government officials. The brand new, built to suit, facility is located in a new industrial park called Parque Oradel, and is 180,000SF in size. It currently has 95 employees and specializes in the manufacturing of small, medium and large format corrugated boxes, inserts and hand assembled corrugated products as well as wood pallet assembly. The facility also distributes packaging products such as OCC Guard edge protectors, foam bags and foam die-cuts. Major pieces of equipment include:

The move stems from both the company's and its customers' unprecedented growth in the Mexico market and will enable the organization to support and maintain its current customer portfolio in this strategic trading area as well as becoming a major full service packaging supplier to new customers both in the United States and Mexico. This facility will serve as a springboard into the neighbors cities of Reynosa and Matamoros, Mexico.
