San Diego, California - On December 5, 2009 – Orange County Container Group LLC’s ("OCCG") Corrugados De Baja Tijuana plant was awarded Samsung’s 2009 “5S supplier of the year” for the exemplary performance of the entire Corrugados Tijuana team displayed showcasing a world class box plant in the areas of world class productivity, high performing plant associates, production of quality product, pride of the associates and having best practices in the manufacturing arena to produce defect free product for  Samsung’s Tijuana facilities. Samsung is the largest television manufacturer in a city that produces more televisions than any other location in the world. The award was presented to John Murphy, OCCG’s Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Effectiveness by Samsung’s President, Myoung Sup Han.  OCCG was one of 33 vendors who participated in the 5's award program for this year. John commented when the award was presented to him by Mr. Sup Han, that was attended by over 100 senior Samsung managers at the conference that  “on behalf  of all the associates at our Tijuana plant and our senior management team, we are honored to accept this prestigious world class Samsung supplier award and look forward to continuing our excellent business relationship in the years to come.
